Thanks to our accomplice Annalisa — a talented photographer and yoga teacher — we created a relaxed, casual setup on the beach to make everything look natural. Amber would have no idea what was about to happen. The light was perfect, the sky beginning to blush into sunset, and we were ready — cameras in hand, hearts pounding.

When they arrived, Kalo gently asked a waitress to take a picture of them "for Instagram". Amber stood with her back to him, holding out her hand — and in that moment, Kalo dropped to one knee.
