We have known Noemi since she was a child. She is bright, radiant, full of life.
She had planned to get married on May 29th (my birthday, as a side note), but then Covid arrived — closing us inside our homes, while our brides dreamed of their weddings through windows.
Along with them was Noemi, who, together with Salvatore, had to postpone their wedding more than once, until finally reaching October.
Just 48 hours before their special day, another announcement from Prime Minister Conte brought new restrictions into our lives.
A wedding allowed only for a few loved ones.
Surrounded by the closest family and deepest bonds.
Replanning everything with so little time left is incredibly hard. Cancelling would probably have been easier.
But our couple is resilient.
Noemi is a powerful, unstoppable force.
Salvatore is her sun.
Love Is the Meaning of Life
The meaning of life is love — love lived fully, without holding back.
Only in love can we find those sparks of light that break through the darkness of meaninglessness.
When two people get married, they choose all of each other.
They welcome the past, with its virtues and flaws shaped by history.
They embrace the present, giving themselves completely.
They accept the future, because they have promised to love each other until the end of life, without conditions or limits.
This is the choice Noemi and Salvatore made.
They chose to welcome one another and surrender completely to Love, taking their vows before God despite every limitation imposed by the world around them.
A Wedding Day Made of Love

We are a drop in the ocean — and so is the love between two spouses.

Through the sacrament of marriage, Noemi and Salvatore were allowed to dive into the ocean of God’s love.
A small drop that suddenly carries the strength and vastness of the entire ocean.
In them lives God’s love.
Infinity contained within the finiteness of two human beings.
A Church Filled with Light
Noemi was radiant in her white dress as she crossed the threshold of the Church of Saint Anthony, while Salvatore watched her with tears of emotion.
The Mass, celebrated by Don Carmelo — a dear friend of the couple — was deeply heartfelt and shared by everyone present.
It was not the wedding they had imagined at the beginning.
But it was exactly the wedding they needed.

This was not a wedding defined by numbers, receptions or celebrations.
It was an intimate wedding during a pandemic, shaped by faith, resilience and a love strong enough to endure everything.
